John W. Garbutt is in his fourth year as Director of Programs and Services with the Museum of the American Railroad. He previously worked with the Texas Historical Commission at Eisenhower Birthplace in Denison. Before that, he taught United States history at Panola College in Carthage, Texas. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Texas at Tyler and a master’s in history/public history from Stephen F. Austin State University.
