The Cross Timbers of North Texas
The area called Cross Timbers of North Texas is a unique region that has long been considered a crossroads of culture and ecology. Yet in the region, Cross Timbers of North Texas is unknown to much of the public in the area of Grapevine and surrounding communities.
Though much of the natural landscape has been obscured by modern development, its influence is still felt today.
Brad Dougher will be discussing the ways in which the transitional nature of the region has defined us, from prehistory up until the modern day.
Brad is the Museum & Gallery Coordinator for the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau. He has an extensive background in history and archaeology, and is an avid Texas traveler. Born and raised in Grapevine, he is now a Denton resident and has always considered the Cross Timbers his home." This will be a great story that you will surely enjoy as we learn some interesting things about the place we call home right where we live, work and play.
